Summary
Manage processes for component area(s), which include systems, system module(s), product(s), and project(s). Consults with internal and external customers to conduct a thorough analysis of existing processes. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity by modifying existing processes and workflows, introducing automation, developing new performance standards and metrics, and promotes the adoption of industry best practices.
Responsibilities
Works independently as highest-level technical expert, providing both internal and external consulting services. Takes a lead role and demonstrates leadership skills. Plans, conducts and directs evaluation of organizational processes, policies and controls. Responsible for corporate level policies and controls for assigned business units. Develops new process improvement procedures and policies to improve efficiency. Performs workflow analysis and recommends process improvements where needed. Provides process and policy solutions for improvements. Makes critical business recommendations, generates alternatives, and solves operational issues after identifying and analyzing processes. Is able to secure internally, through negotiation and influence, resources and cooperation required to remove barriers and implement solutions. Collects information on failures in designated areas and analyzes for root cause. Identifies metrics, establishes data collection plan, implements tracking and generates reporting to document process performance. Develops performance reports to help management correct deficiencies that cause quality failures. Leads continuous improvement teams through the process of creating solutions. Develops presentations for management as required. Keeps management, and if applicable, clients, apprised of potential or implemented changes. Manages and leads special projects across multiple work units. Leads conference calls and meetings. Conducts various process, policy and guiding principle workshops as needed. Facilitates groups of internal and external customers, creating and presenting information, and creating supporting documentation. Required to meet established timelines. Creates and maintains process/policy documentation. Maintains an understanding of TSYS'' work processes to traverse and utilize the system''s management tools . Utilizes system knowledge in performing verification checks, and in communicating and/or correcting technical issues. Keeps current on changes to formulized work processes across the company, with special attention to audit issues as well as industry practices. Generally works with considerable latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Four year college degree and 8 or more years professional experienceor10 or more years professional experience is required. Business/Technical subcommittee is required. 2 years working with Lean or Six Sigma preferred. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
